Harbor Island is a two and a half square mile residential community about 10 miles southeast of Beaufort, SC. This private beach community, located in South Carolina's Lowcountry, is a gateway to the Beaufort Barrier Islands Bird Area where you may find over 200 species of birds. Nature lovers can visit five fresh water lagoons on the property that provide nesting areas for thousands of wading birds. From April to June, you can see thousands of Horseshoe crabs come ashore to lay eggs at high tide under a full moon. From May to September our beach is a nesting area for endangered Loggerhead turtles.
